From the April 2019 Institute of Limnology RAS has started to do a field study as a part of the project Water meets people – learn, act and influence SEVIRA. The aim of the study is to get information about nitrogen and phosphorus content in rivers and water passages of Sestra and Russian part of Seleznevka catchments areas.
IL RAS also starts to create maps of the investigated areas contained information about various land-use types on the base of satellite images.
Further it is planned to do model calculations of runoff and nutrient load for analyzing nitrogen and phosphorus input from different land-use types.
