Research tasks
My research tasks focus on sustainability transformation and its governance. I study how knowledge is co-produced together with actors outside of academia, and how this transdisciplinary process itself can have transformative power. My research field is sustainability science where my tasks include the research on methods of sustainabililty sience, policy evaluations and evaluations of SDGs in different contexts. I also aim to explore the role of global and national networks and institutions in enhancing sustainability transformation. I act as a program director for Strategic Research Council attached to Academy of Finland. In this position, I aim to enhance the use of scientific knowledge in societal decision making.
